‘I still can’t believe what we achieved in a week,’ said Louise – one of the participants in last summer’s FIVE DAY SHORT STORY course. In five stimulating days you’ll have hands-on experience at turning theory into practical effect. Learn from the greats – from Chekhov, Hemingway, Munro and others – while being nurtured and guided towards the completion of a story from beginning to end. Everyone comes away with new insights into the genre – and their tale included in a special post-course anthology as a tangible record. Temporarily, due to the coronavirus, the course will be online – but the content remains the same. Each day, from 10.30 till 13.30, there will be intensive tuition focusing on five classic short stories. During the last hour every day there will be constructive feedback and peer reviewing of the student stories in progress.
