The Five Day Short Story at the Faber Academy

Summer 2017 will be here before we know it – and promises to be another fine season for short story writers. This year two five-day courses produced thirty great tales. This year we’re looking for an even more abundant crop. Two stimulating FIVE DAY SHORT STORY courses are to take place from 3-7 July and 4-8 September (see http://bit.ly/2phGmlq). Full details are on the Faber Academy website. The Five Day Short Story course is designed to be a hands-on experience, turning theory into practical effect. Learn from the greats – from Chekhov, Hemingway, Munro and others – while being nurtured and guided towards the completion of a story from beginning to end. Everyone comes away with new insights into the genre – and their tale included in a special post-course anthology as a tangible record. Each day starts at 10.00, with intensive tuition till 13.30, and afternoon writing time in the literary ambience of Faber’s Bloomsbury HQ. Grab your place for a chance to participate in this five-day creative splurge.
